Jafflong is a tourist spot and business centre is Bisnakandi. Hill Meghelaga surrounds it. Falls are rinsing there. With that orange garden, line up of nut trees and battle leaf, house and hut of khasi people, clean water of pigan river and its many stones and hospitality of people attract tourists. So they came to see its beauty. Government gets revenue every year but the area and its communication system give a negative approach of government. Bolaghat Customs Station is now full of dusts. 7-km long road from Pirer Bazar to Bisnakandi is also faces same problems.
People face problem to cross the road. The source of dust is unplanned dumping and placement of stone unauthorisel. During load-unload dust create many small crusher machine of Noljuri break stone and create dust. Many businessman of Bisnakandi said we came here physically fit but now we are ill for dusts.
Tourists of Jafflon said we are amused by its natural beauty but spreading dust is very harmful for us. Government did not take care for the environment and communication of this area. We are depressed.
Goainghat upazila health officer said dust is harmful for health. It create cough, allergy even death may occur.
