One tourist was killed and 12 others were injured as their vehicle plunged into a roadside ditch in Laimypara area in Sadar upazila Tuesday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as M Badsha, 22. Police said the accident occurred when the vehicle, carrying the tourists, plunged into the hilly ditch in the area as its driver lost control over it, leaving Badsha dead on the spot and 12 others injured.
The injured were sent to Sadar hospital.
Later, among the injured four were shifted to Chittagong Medical College Hospital in critical condition.
