A modern and well-equipped ‘Grameen Phone Tourism and Hospitality Lab’ with the assistance of Grameen Phone Limited, has been set up at the Tourism and Hospitality Management department.
Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University Prof Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the lab today, said a university press release.
Treasurer Prof Dr M Kamal Uddin, Prof Shibli Rubayatul Islam, Dean of the Business Studies Faculty and Chief Technical Officer of the Grameen Phone Ltd Tanvir Mohammad attended the inaugural session.
Prof Dr Mazib Uddin Ahmed, Chairman of the Tourism and Hospitality Management Department chaired the function.
The newly established lab has computer section, language learning section and a seminar room. The computers 52 in number have internet connections.
