Police recovered the body of a ‘listed criminal’, who had gone missing three days ago, from a waterbody in Akhaura upazila on Friday afternoon.
The deceased was identified as Kamal Hossain Jibon, 35, son of late Abdul Jabbar of Purba Medda area of the district town
and also accused in 18 cases including drug, arms, robbery cases.
Md Ziaul Haque, in-charge of Dhorkhar Police outpost, said Jibon did not return home since some unidentified people called him out of the house thee days back. Later, locals spotted his body tied with rope in the waterbody adjacent to Hashimpur bridge of the upazila in the afternoon and informed police. Nabir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Sadar Model Police Station, said that Jibon was a listed criminal of the district.
