A one-year old girl died falling into a bucket of water in Shanti Company residential area in the town on Friday.
The deceased was identified as Maha, daughter of UAE expatriate Kamal Uddin.
After not seeing the child in the room, her mother started searching and lastly found her dead in a bucket filled with water in the bathroom of the house on the fifth floor of a building on Friday night, said Mahtab Munna, Councilor of Ward No. 10 quoting family members. The girl was buried on Friday night at Paschim Mirjapur village in Sonagazi upazila, they said.
