Miscreants snatched away Tk 7 lakh from a trader after shooting him in the capital’s Shahjahanpur on Monday evening.
Bullet-hit Zahir Hossain, 28, was later rushed to Dhaka Medical College and Hospital in a critical condition.
Three unidentified criminals, riding a motorbike, shot Zahir near Khilgaon flyover around 7:45pm and took away the money from his possession.
Zahir was going to his house by a rickshaw after withdrawing the money from a bank.
Molla Zakir Hossain, officer-in-charge of Shahjahanpur police station confirmed the incident.
