Workshop on regional environment & sustainable dev: Tk.400 cr needed for implementing Patenga & Karnaphuli Projects

A workshop on Chattogram Regional Environment and Sustainable Development was held at Chattogram Press club auditorium on Thursday.
The theme of the workshop was ‘A citizens Initiatives’ Green Planet , Chattogram organized the workshop . Architect Mesbah Ahmed delivered address of welcome in the workshop . Noted Architect of the country and the owner of Style Living Architect Ltd Engr. Mizanur Rahman was the keynote speaker. Among others, Architect Jave Akram Rumel , Architect Md.Akramur Hossain Bappi also participated the discussions.
In the brief presentations, the keynote speaker elaborately discussed the matters on development regional environment, sustainable infrastructure development, natural resources management, preservation of hills and forest land and ecological balance.
Architect Mizanur Rahman presented a multimedia projections presenting the nature, biodiversity, sustainable development, green and blue economy and urban infrastructures.
In his multimedia projections, detailed planning and programmes over the proposed Patenga Beach Project and the Karnaphuli Marine road project including 9 kilometer marine road from Shah Amanat Bridge to Kalurghat Bridge were presented.
The proposed two projects may need to be spent about Tk.400 crores to implement . Style Living Ltd is working to finalise the Karnaphuli biodiversity project with Chattogram Development Authority. The keynote speaker explained six stairs of the urban development separately before the workshop.
