The Chittagong University (CU) authorities on Saturday in its senate meeting approved an estimated TK 273 croe and 80 lakh budget for the fiscal 2016-17.
The meeting also approved a revised budget of Tk 221 crore and sixty lakh for the last fiscal 2015-16.
The budget was approved at the 28th senate session held with CU Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iftekhar Uddin in the chair at the conference room in the afternoon.CU acting registrar Dr Mohammad Kamrul Huda presented the budget while Pro-VC Prof Dr Shirin Akther delivered the welcome address.
Senate members Moinuddin Khan Badal MP, Wasika Ayesha Khanom , MP, Additional Secretary (University) of Education Ministry Mohammad Helal Uddin, Additional Secretary (Administration &Finance) Dr Aruna Biswas, Prof Monsur Uddin Ahmed, Prof Dr MA Gafur, Prof Jamir Uddin Ahmed, Prof Dr Sultan Ahmed, Prof Dr Imran Hossain and Prof Dr Mohammad Sekandar Chowdhury, among others, addressed the senate session.
