The University Grants Commission (UGC) on Thursday approved a Tk 2178.84 crore budget or 2015-2016 fiscal year for the country’s public universities. At the 141st full commission meeting held with UGC chairman Prof Abdul Mannan in the chair, the commission also approved the revised budget of Tk 2053.55 crore for
the outgoing 2014-2015 fiscal year.
The meeting also okayed the original budget of Tk 24.01 crore for 2015-2016 fiscal year and the revised budget of Tk 21.2350 crore for 2014-2015 fiscal year for the UGC. Education Secretary Md Nazrul Islam Khan, Planning
