The third day of the Tax fair in the port city passes off on Thursday amid enthusiastic participation of the tax payers. On third day Tk.172 crores 15 lakh 23 thousand were reallised as tax from tax payers .
On first day reallised Tk. 30.79 cr , second day Tk. 72.47 cr tax fair sources said. The tax fair begins from Tuesday with slogan of No alternatives of Tax to build the Happy country at GEC convention hall in city . Minister for Public works and Housing Engr. Mosharraf Hossain inaugurated the fair as chief guest. Sources said on second day 37,740 tax payers taken tax services from the fair venue. 1,955 tax retun deposited on second day and 438 payers collected e-TIN. on third day 38,700 tax payers were provided services and 432 e-TIN collected.
Additional commissioner of Taxation Zone No.1 of Chittagong Bazlul Kabir Bhuyian told the new nation that on opening day, the fair remained open upto 1 pm and during the period of 3 hours, a mount of tk.30.79 cr was received from the tax payers and second day the realization was double than the first day.
He said the number of service receivers are gradually increasing day by day in the fair booths. The fair will continue upto 7th of this month and the fair venue will remain open from 10 am to 5 pm every day, sources said.
