Tk 1500 cr CCC budget for next fiscal :Nasir

Newly- elected city mayor AJM Nasir Uddin has asked the top officials including the Engineers of CCC to formulate a mega budget of Tk.1500 cr for the next fiscal (2015-16) for the corporation .
 He disclosed it while exchanging views with the officials of the CCC at city community centre yesterday morning.
He also cautioned the contractors of the CCC to complete their assignment within the specific time otherwise legal actions will be taken against them, sources said. He strongly directed the conservancy and engineering department to clean and excavation of the drains, culverts before the rainy season .
He also ordered the engineers of 5 Divisons to place the true picture of the work plan related to drains and canal development and also ordered to formulate the bill board policy immediately.
City mayor also discuss about the 23 legal suits so filed by the CBA, officials , employees for their legitimate rights.
City mayor gave patient hearing to the allegations of the trade union leaders and assures to implement their demands within short possible time.
Later the CBA leaders ensure the mayor to withdraw their legal suits within one week . Chief executive officer of CCC Md. Shafiul Alam presided over it.
Among others, Acting Mayor Mohammad Hossain, Secretary Rashid Ahmed, CCC Magistrate Nazia Shirin, personal secretary to Mayor Mansurul Islam, Law officer Sarwar Alam , panel lawyer Advocate Makbul Ahmed were present on the occasion. City Mayor also discuss the demands of the teachers of CCC run school for their time scale.
Mayor lastly said conservancy de parttment should be care cautious about their duties.
He asked the city dwellers to keep their household waste in the particular dustbin within the time from 8 am to 12 midnight and these garbages should be cleared before 5 am.
5 hurt in road accident: At least five persons were injured in a road accident that took place on Chittagong-Cox’s Bazar highway under Satkania upazila on Saturday.
The identity of the injured could not be known yet.
According to Satkania Police sources, when a Chittagong-bound passenger bus was crossing the Nayakhal area through mud-covered road around 1:00 pm, its driver lost control over its steering, leaving five seriously injured.
