Tangail four-murder: Tk 1 lakh bounty for Jahangir

Staff Reporter: Police on Saturday declared a Tk 1 lakh bounty for information that may lead to the arrest of Jahangir Hossain, the prime suspect in the killing of a woman and her three daughters in Tangail Tuesday. Mahfuzul Haque Nuruzzaman, Deputy Inspector General of police (Dhaka Range), declared the reward before the reporters at Mirzapur Police Station in Tangail this afternoon, reports our Tangail correspondent. Meanwhile, police detained Badaruddin, uncle of Jahangir, from Kaliakoir upazila of the district last night. Hasna Begum, 35, along with her three young daughters Monira Akter, 14, Meem Akter, 10, and Molly Akter, 7, was burnt alive when miscreants set fire to their house at Dakkhin Sohagpara village in Tangail. Hasna’s husband Mojibor Rahman is an expatriate in Malaysia.
