A 16-year-old girl was drugged and raped in Sylhet’s Lamapara where she was lured in believing she would shoot for Tik Tok and Likee videos.
Rickshaw puller Kamal Hossain, the girl’s father, filed a case Wednesday at Shahparan Police Station, against Tik Tok and Likee content creators Juber Ahmed Fanny of Lamapara and Liza of Tilagar.
It was learned from the case statement that the victim was into Likee and TikTok video sharing community.
Few months back she came to know Liza, who was part of the same community, and offered to take her along for a shoot in Jaflong, along with another companion, Fanny.
On May 19, Liza went to Fanny’s house in Lamapara, where she was deceived and raped.
The investigating officer of the case, SI Anjan Singh, said police were trying to arrest the accused using all means.
