Tigresses lose in 3rd T20I against Pakistan

The Bangladesh women’s cricket team’s poor batting display suffered a seven-wicket defeat to visiting Pakistan women’s cricket team in the third T20I of the four-match series held on Friday at Sheikh Kamal International Cricket Stadium in Cox’s Bazar.
With this win, Pakistan took 2-0 lead in the series after the first match abandoned due to wet outfield.
Opted to bat first after winning the toss, Bangladesh scored a small total of 81 for 8 from their allotted 20 overs in the face of tight bowling display by the Pakistani bowlers. Only three batsmen Nigar Sultana (19), Rumana Ahmed (12) and Shamima Sultana (10) able to reach the double figure.
Nashra Sandhu and Nida Dar captured two Bangladesh’s wickets conceding an identical 16 runs from 4 overs.
Chasing a winning target of 82 runs set by Bangladesh, Pakistan easily coasted the target making 85 in 18.1 overs with seven wickets in hand.
Opener Nahida Khan top scored with 33 runs while skipper Javeria composed 31.
Ruman Ahmed and Fahima Khatun took one Pakistani’s wicket apiece giving away 10 and 15 runs respectively.
Nahida Khan of Pakistan was named the player of the match for his impressive batting performance.
Earlier, Bangladesh suffered a 58-run defeat to Pakistan women’s cricket team in the second T20I of the series.
