Tight security measures in Ctg during cricket series: CMP

 Chittagong Metropolitan Police (CMP) will arrange a six-tier security measures during the Bangladesh-England series starting from October 12 with lone ODI match.
A foolproof security measures have been arranged in two stadiums of the city to ensure smooth holding of one, ‘One Day International’ to be held on October 12 and one Test series from October 20-24 in Chittagong. The CMP commissioner Iqbal Bahar disclosed through a press conference held on Thursday
He said players would be given VVIP road protection during travel from hotel to stadium. The entire area of the stadium would be monitor through CCTVs with a venue operation centre inside the stadium, Bahar added.The spectators will not be allowed to carry any inflammable substances, bags, knives and other things inside the stadium during the match.
Iqbal Bahar said that the all security measures in port city were fixed consulting with the representatives of England team who came recently in Chittagong to scrutinize the security issue To keep vigil so that the foreign cricketers, who are arriving the Port City from October 10 next. “Surrounding areas of the two match venues- Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium and MA Aziz Stadium will be brought under security net side by side their hotels.
Close circuit cameras will be set up in some major entry points of Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium as part of security measures.
