Tight security measures centering Eid in Rajshahi, Gaibandha

Tight security measures has been adopted in Rajshahi city and its adjacent area centering the Eid-ul-Fitr, largest religious festival of the Muslims, to make the celebration a total success.
Besides, Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) has also set up some Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) cameras at different strategic points to monitor the security measures arranged for city dwellers. According to the sources of RMP and district Police, the additional security measures will exist from the previous day of Eid and till next three days.
Md Shamsuddin, Commissioner of RMP, told the newsmen that all the police stations and camps have already given instruction to ensure extra security measures in all the celebration points including the Eid congregations.
Besides deployment of additional forces, detective vigilance was intensified at all the busiest market points and shopping malls.
All the entry points of the city like Katakhali, Nawdapara and Kasiadanga area were brought under tight security measures with strong vigilance and monitoring. Necessary instruction was also given to search the suspicious persons at any points during the celebration period.
RMP Chief Shamsuddin said, “We will watch the movement of boarders of the residential hotels”.
On the other hand, RAB-5 has taken all-out security measures to make the festival a total success.
Meanwhile, Shahmukhdum Central Eid Jamaat Committee and the Rajshahi City Corporation (RCC) and all others concerned have chalked out elaborate programmes to celebrate the holy Eid-ul-Fitr, the largest religious festival for the Muslims, in the city with due fervor, joy and enthusiasm.
BSS from Gaibandha adds: Police administration here have taken up special measures in all places including highways and water routes of the district to keep law and order situation fully normal and peaceful ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr and its post period time.
Under the initiatives, a total of 750 police forces and 200 members of community police have been engaged in duties to prevent any kind of criminal activities in the district in Ramadan and even, seven days after the Eid.
According to sources generally, the criminal groups are well-organized ahead of Eid-ul-Fitr, the biggest religious festival for the Muslims, and geared up their criminal activities.
In order to check the criminal activities of the muggers, the district police have adopted special and tight security measures for the town dwellers, businessmen and passengers and it would continue till seven days after Eid-ul-Fitr.
More than 20 additional check posts have been set up at different important points of the district, said additional police super Faruk Hossain.
