Tight security ahead of Pahela Baishakh in Kishoreganj

Kishoreganj District Administration has taken additional security measures to avert any untoward incident on Pahela Baishakh , the first day of the Bengali New Year 1425.
A meeting of Law & Order Review Committee was held at local collectorate conference room with District Magistrate Md. Sarowar Murshed Chowdhury in the chair on Sunday noon.
Police Super Mashrukur Rahman Khaled, A.D.M Md. Alamgir Hossain, Additional S.P Md. Nazmul Islam, Senior Magistrate Abu Taher Sayeed, 13 UNO’s of the district, RAB- 14 Kishoreganj Camp Commanding officer Shovon Khan, Deputy Director of Ansar & VDP, Jail Super were also present.
Additional District Magistrate Md. Alamgir Hossain said that, administration will bring out the main Baishakhi rally carrying festoons, play cards, banners and singing Baishakhi and folk songs from Biam Laboratories School play ground at 7.30 am to welcome the Bangla New Year- 1425. RAB, Additional Police, plain cloth personnel will be kept for vigil at important places of district town and 13 upazilas headquarter on the occasion of Pahela Baishakh.
Additional Police Super Nazmul Islam said that, special security measures will be taken especially at the Baishakhi mella, mongal shova jatra, various socio-cultural organisations including the district administration have chalked out an elaborate programme to celebrate the festival by the people from all walk of life.
All entry and exit points of the town will be monitored round the clock.
RAB- 14, have taken special security to maintain Law & Order during the festivity.
