Bangladesh beat UWI Vice Chancellor’s XI by 4 wickets in the lone warm-up match held on Friday at Sabina Park.
Mahmudullah captained the side on Friday in the absence of regular captain Mashrafe Bin Mortaza and vice-captain Shakib Al Hasan.
Mosaddek Hossain’s four-wicket haul put Chancellor’s XI in trouble as they lost 6 wickets for 89 after Mahmudullah opted them to bat first after winning the toss.
Then Ottley and Hodge took the responsibility to stop the rot as the duo shared made 91 partnership to help them to post a decent total of 227 for 9 from their alotted 50 overs.
Mosaddek, the wrecker in chief, caused the major damage by taking 4 wickets for 14 runs.
In reply, Bangladesh chased down the target comfortably in 43.3 overs with 4 wickets in hand.
Thanks to brilliant fifties from Mushfiqur Rahim and Liton Kumar Das. The right handed batsman Mushfiqur was remained unbeaten on 75 while Liton was dismissed after scoring 70.
Powell bagged 2 Bangladesh ‘s wickets at the cost of 32 runs.
The 3-match ODI series between Bangladesh and West Indies will start from July 22 at Guyana.
