Tigers start fitness camp

After a prolong recess, the Tigers are back in business as they started the fitness camp under strength and conditioning coach Mario Villavarayen to prepare themselves for their ensuing full tour against West Indies in July-August.
The cricketers today reported today this Sunday) morning coach Mario Villavarayen at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium at Mirpur. Among the 31-memebr preliminary squad ace all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan and cutter master Mustafizur Rahman are currently representing Sunrisers Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians respectively in the ongoing India Premier League.
The Tigers are expected to play two Tests, three ODIs and a T20I during their West Indies tour.
Wicket keeper batsman Mushfiqur Rahim, all-rounder Mahmudullah Riyad and pacer Taskin Ahmed, who all were suffering from injuries, also joined the session on Saturday.
Tigers have a day-off from training tomorrow and they will continue their fitness programme again on Tuesday with eye on the Afghanistan series. Before Bangladesh head off West Indies, the Tigers are expected to reach Dehradun on May 29 before the first T20I on June 3 at the Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium.
The second and third games will take place on June 5 and 7 at the same venue. It will be first bilateral series of the two nations.
The Tigers had a busy schedule until the Nidahas Trophy though they could not get the expected result from the tournament losing to India in the nail-biting final.
But now the Tigers are concentrating about their upcoming series against West Indies.
