Sports Reporter :The Tigers will take on South Africa (Proteas) in the 1st Twenty20 Cricket match at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur today (Sunday). The match which starts at 1.00 pm will be telecast live by BTV and GTV.Bangladesh had earlier faced South Africa in two Twenty20 Cricket matches and South Africa won both the matches. Bangladesh, however, is now in a good form as they thrashed Pakistan 3-0 in the recently concluded three-match ODI series. Bangladesh also won 2-1 against India in the recently held three-match ODI series in Dhaka.Captain of Bangladesh Mashrafe Bin Mortaza said, “South Africa have a number of players who can single-handedly win them a T20. We don’t have many such players but if we can play as a team and maintain our consistency, we will do well. We have to play with guts. T20 is a game of courage. He said, “What happened in the past will certainly not be of any help. What we did in the last series won’t come to use either. On the day, we have to start and finish well. If we are consistent, it will give us confidence.” Captain of South Africa Faf du Plessis said, “We appreciate that Bangladesh main side competition will be a lot harder.”Plessis said, “The practice Twenty20 match helped us to adapt with the condition of Bangladesh. Our players performed well in the practice match.
