Earlier, Bangladesh piled up a heroic total of 156 for the loss of six wickets in the stipulated 20 overs against Australia in their second Group 2 match of the ICC World Twenty20 at Bangalore in India on Monday.Shakib Al Hasan grabbed three wickets at the cost of 27 runs while Mustafizur Rahman bagged two wickets for 30 runs.One-down Sabbir Rahman failed to shine with willow as he (12) was caught at the mid-on by JP Faukner off SR Watson when Bangladesh’s score was 25 for the loss of two wickets.Then opener Mohammad Mithun and Shakib Al Hasan contributed together 37 runs for the third wicket stand before Mohammad Mithun was caught at the deep mid-wicket by SR Watson off A Zampa when Bangladesh’s total was 62 for the loss of three wickets.Fifth-down Shuvagata Hom (13) failed to make a notable score as he was trapped leg before wicket by A Zampa when Bangladesh’s score was 78 for the loss of four wickets.Mahmudullah Riyad and Shakib Al Hasan built a worthy partnership. They put on together 27 runs for the fifth wicket stand before Shakib al Hasan was caught at the short third-man by Coulter-Nile off A Zampa when the team’s total was 105 for the loss of five wickets.Mahmudullah remained unbeaten with 49. He hit seven fours and a sixer in his 29-ball superb innings.Shakib Al Hasan hit 33 from 25 balls featuring three fours and a six.Mahmudullah and Mushfiqur Rahim added 51 runs for the unbroken sixth wicket stand before the Tigers’ innings came to an end.Mohammad Mithun made 23 from 22 balls including one four and one six.Mushfiqur Rahim remained unbeaten with 15. He hit two fours in his 11-ball knock.A Zampa claimed three wickets at the cost of 23 runs while SR Watson bagged a pair of wickets for 31 runs.
