Rejecting the recent report of the Transparency International Bangladesh (TIB) over irregularities in workers’ migration Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Nurul Islam Bsc on Tuesday said it is a ‘false’ report.
“Government will register formal protest after investigating whether the TIB report was a conspiracy
to tarnish the image of the government,” Nurul said during a meeting with a delegation of Reporters’ for Bangladeshi Migrants (RBM) at his office.
When asked why only 10 recruiting agencies of the country can send workers to Malaysia, the Minister said the Malaysian government fixed the 10 agencies for hiring labourers. “It’s not a syndicate,” he added.
