The BNP on Monday inaugurated the party’s sale of nomination papers by collecting three nomination papers for the party’s imprisoned Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia.
BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir purchased a nomination paper for Khaleda Zia to contest in the polls from Feni-1, the party’s Standing Committee Member Mirza Abbas bought another form for Khaleda Zia to contest from Bogura-7 Constituency.
While, the party Standing Committee Member Nazrul Islam Khan collected the third form for Khaleda Zia to contest from Bogura-6 Constituency. Apart from these Mirza Fakhrul collected nomination paper for himself for contesting in the election from Thakurgaon-1.
On February 8, a special court sentenced Khaleda Zia to five years’ jail in a graft case.
