Detective Branch (DB) of Police arrested three persons with counterfeit notes worth Tk 1,80,000 in the city’s Shanir Akhra under Jatrabari thana and Gazipur district on Thursday.
Those arrested have been identified as Md Rubel (28), Md Shaheen(29) and Nurul Islam(20). Equipment and accessories used in making counterfeit notes have also been seized from their possession, sources said.
Md Khorshed Alam, Assistant Commissioner ( Dhaka East) of Detective Police, said that police arrested Rubel and Shaheen from Narayanganj early Thursday with
counterfeit notes, seized a laptop, a printer and money making other equipment.
Based on their information, police held Nurul Islam from Gazipur.
