A human chain was formed by the local journalists protesting threat to kill journalist M. Nazim Uddin by Bauphal Upazila Chairman Md. Mujibur Rahman in front of Bauphal Upazila Parisad office recently.
A report was published on January 11 in the Daily Songbad Protidin, against Bauphal Upazila Chairman Md Mujibur Rahman. For this chairman Md. Mujibur Rahman got angry against concerned reporter M. Nazimuddin and the Chairman allegedly threatened journalist M. Nazimuddin while he went to the UNO office for collecting report.
Protesting the incident,the human chain was addressed by Bauphal Press Club President Md. Harun or Rashid Khan and Reporters Unity, Bauphal President Kamruzzaman Bachchu.
