Thirty players including GM Abdullah Al Rakib, FM Syed Mahfuzur Rahman, FM Mehdi Hasan Parag, Monir Hossain, Uten, Golam Mostafa Bhuiyan, Abdullah Al-Saif, Mahtabuddin Ahmed, FM M Saif Uddin and Enayet Hossain shared the top slot in the Walton International Rating Chess Tournament on Sunday.
They have secured full two points after the 2nd round matches at Bangladesh Chess Federation hall-room here.
In the day’s 2nd round matches, Rakib beat Faisal, Mahfuz beat Asaduzzaman, Parag beat Belal, Javed beat Aminul, Monir beat Ziauddin, Uten beat Rauf, Mostafa beat Zakaria, Saif beat Zahirul, Mahtab beat Elias, Saif beat Ahmedul, Enayet beat Nazmul, Anata Chowdhury beat FM Rezaul Haque. Jaber Al Hamid drew with CM Sohel Chowdhury.
