Professor of Plant Breeding Institute of the University of Kiel, Germany, Dr Christian Jung on Sunday met Dhaka University (DU) Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman at his office.
DU Biological Sciences Faculty Dean Prof Dr M Imdadul Hoque was present on the occasion, said a DU press release.
During the meeting, they discussed various issues, including the possibilities of undertaking collaborative academic and research programmes on agriculture, nutrition and food science by the DU and the University of Kiel.
Prof Akhtaruzzaman thanked Prof Christian for his visit to Dhaka University and expressing interest in its academic and research activities.
