A young man died when a suspected thief stabbed him at Madartek of Sabujbagh in the capital on Sunday.
The deceased has been identified as Rahat Mia, 26.
Rahat succumbed to his injuries at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) around 5:00am.
Sabujbagh Police Station Duty Officer Saifur Rahman said that a group of people were chasing a thief in Madartek Notun Rasta area at night.
The thief stabbed Rahat finding him in his front around 12:15am.
He was taken to DMCH with stab injuries but could not survive.
