Earlier popular play director and actor Hasan Jahangir presented many viewers` choice plays. Specially under his direction a serial titled Boira Poribar became popular among the viewers of RTV.
This time Hasan Jahangir has made a mega serial titled Chapabaj, which story was also written by him. He has already finished shooting of first phase at Pubail in Gazipur recently. Conflicts between two families are portrayed in comedy type in the story of the serial. It is totally comedy typed serial. He has tried to cast legendary actors in his serial like Ekushey Award winner noted actor ATM Shamsuzzaman, film actress Sujata, Dr Enamul Haque, Ferdousi Lina and Shabnam Parvin. Director himself also acted in an important role in the serial as usual.
Director Hasan also informed that the serial will go on air on Boishakahi TV in November. While talking about the his acting in the serial actor ATM Shamsuzzaman told this correspondent, “Earlier under Hasan Jahangir’s direction, I worked in serials Boira Poribar, Ronger Duniya, Kotha Kajey Mil Nai, etc. He works very sincerely. I have also liked story of the new serial. I hope viewers will enjoy the serial.”
Sujata shared her feelings by this way, “I work selectively. Story of Chapabaj has attracted me. It is not traditional. For this I have worked with keen interest. I believe viewers will also like to watch the serial.”
Ferdousi Lina said, “Hasan has worked very sincerely. Though it is a comedy serial we worked under joyful mood while taking part in the shooting.”
In his comment, Dr Enamul Haque said, “Story of the serial is really nice so I have agreed to go outisde Dhaka to take part in the shooting of the serial. In fact, viewers have interest to watch this type of serial.”
Director Hasan also mentioned that Shahriar Nazim Joy, Pran Roy, Ishana, Shampa, among others, also acted in other roles in the serial. He is going to start shooting of another new serial from this week.
