The school teachers are to be blamed most

WE cannot expect political decency from non-political politicians. It is a national disgrace that country’s politics is mostly in the hands of indecent corrupt ones. To them power and arrogance of power is everything that counts. The sycophants are around to prop them up.

What a couple of politicians, linked with the ruling party have done is not only indecent but is a clear mark of lewd arrogance. Balancing his way with help of minors, the land donor of a school Dildar Hossain alias Prince was photographed to be walking his way on top of a human bridge formed by school students in Jamalpur. On the very next day, a local elected public representative in Chandpur, Nur Hossain Patwary walked over a “human bridge” formed by young students of Nilkomol Osmania High School during the school’s annual sports event. He was reportedly sued for his highly objectionable act a couple of days ago.

Under proper political leadership these unacceptable figures would not have found a place in politics to sully. They themselves are not decent people and do not care to project a decent public image. They have turned into ugly upstarts for their easy money and the power over the police.

But we feel more ashamed for the teachers who allowed their boys to be dishonoured publicly in their school premises.

The government does not have to bother about people’s vote or accountability to the people. They claim to have freed the country with India’s help so they have a right to govern us. It is of no use hoping that such arrogance of power will go away even if the government takes some action against a few. The government depends on them.

To show arrogance of power and serve self-interest using public positions is now normal.

There is no real remedy and the chaos and disorder cannot be of any help to the government either. There is also no force of patriotism to get things right by right thinking people.

We find the school teachers to be blamed most. They have no sense of self-respect and the students under them will also not learn the importance of self-respect in life. We would like to see the Headmasters of these two schools removed unless they can offer a satisfactory explanation.
