The 66th death anniversary of Poet Jibanananda Das observed

The 66th death anniversary of Poet Jibanananda Das wa observed in his ancestral city Barishal on Thursday with day long proggrame.
Born on February 17, 1899, Jibanananda Das is arguably the most influential romantic poet of the post-Tagore era.
He died in a road accident on October 22, 1954 in Kolkata.
Activists of Jatiya Kabita Parishad Barishal branch, paid tributes the poet to Poet Jibanananda.
Tapankar Chakraborty, President JKP Barishal presided over the programme of discussion and recitation of poem.
Among others, Nazmul Hossain Akash, Partha Sarathi, Apurba Goutam, Suvash Das Nitai, Bahauddin Golap, Shovan Karmakar Krishna, Kamrun Nahar Munni, Abdur Rahman participated in the programmes.
District Shilpakala Academy in collaboration with district administration arranged same types of prograsme in the conference room of Barishal Circuit House on Thursday night.
Ajiar Rahman, Deputy Commissioner and President of the district Shilpakala Academy presided over the programme conducted by Karun Nahar Munni.
The discussion session was attended by Maksud Alam, District Cultural Officer, S M Iqbal, Kajal Ghosh, Pankaj Roy Chowdhury, leading cultural activists, Asma Chowdhury, S M Imanul Hakim, educationists.
