Favorite Thailand recorded a hard-fought 3-2 goals win over Singapore in the group B match of the Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament held on Friday at the Sylhet District Stadium.
In the day’s match, midfielder Sensomaiad Adisak headed Kana Narakon’s corner inside the Singapore net in the 7th minute (1-0).
Midfielder Srinawong Chayawat doubled the lead for Thailand in the 31st minute with a placing shot in the 16th minute (2-0).
After the resumption, Singapore, however, fought back strongly and Iqram Yazid reduced the margin in the 49th minute (2-1).
In the 53rd minute Taufik bin Suparna scored the second to equalize the shoreline for Singapore (2-2).
Parmpak Pakorn sealed the victory for Thailand in the 80th minute utilising mistake of Singapore’s defenders (3-2).
