Election Commission today extended the tenure of two-year-long temporary National Identification (NID) for indefinite period.
The NID wing of EC issued a statement in this regard on Saturday.
“From now on, all NIDs will be considered valid,” it said, adding that each service providing organisation can facilitate recipients after verifying information in the NID system.
It also requested the service providing organisations not to deprive anyone from services due to tenure.
