Walton posts about 62pc growth in LED TV sales

The ongoing ICC World T20 has led the sales of televisions, including CRT (Cathode Ray Tube) and LED (Light Emitting Diode), to go up across the country as all classes of people are purchasing television to watch the superb performance of Bangladesh Cricket team during the mega cricket event.
Bangladesh earned a spot in the Super 10 Group of T20 World Cup, where they will face Pakistan, India, Australia and New Zealand. The Bangladeshis are waiting to enjoy the country’s tigers’ roar against the world’s present best teams. As television is the only means of enjoying Bangladesh’s performance in the T20 World Cup sitting at home, the country’s people are thronging the television’ outlets of different brands to purchase TVs.
Traders of the capital’s largest market of electronics’ products Stadium Market said the demands for televisions were gone up across the country during the last couple of month following the just completed Asia Cup and the ongoing T20 World Cup. The sales of LED TV of both the local and the global brands like Walton, Myone, Sony, Rangs, Panasonic and LG were moved up as all classes of people started buying LED TVs, the traders said adding, this time customers prefer local brands’ televisions to foreign ones.
The Walton officials informed that they registered about 62 percent growth in the sales of their LED TV during the period January and February period of the current year compared to the sales of the last two months (November and December) of 2015.
Application of world’s latest technology in the production process of LED TV, assurance of world-class quality, affordable rates, six months conditional replacement warranty and nationwide sales and servicing points are resulted in turning the Walton brand LED television into customers’ top choice, they noted.
