A teenage boy committed suicide at Naderpara village in Joarianala union of Ramu Upazila of Cox’s Bazar district on Saturday night.
Police recovered his body from hanging condition with a betel nut tree in betel nut garden behind their house.
The victim was identified as Saiful Islam, 25, son of Amir Hossen of those area.
Police quoting family members said that, Saiful went to say Fazor prayer on Saturday and later he was missing for the day. At least, they got Saiful in behind their house on hanging with a betel nut tree at about 9:00pm.
Appela Razu Naha, OC of Ramu PS said that, on information, a mobile team of police led by OC (Investigation) Baktiar, went his house and recovered Saiful’s body. Police handed over Saiful’s body to his family.
