Chandpur River Thana Police Huque recovered the dead body of an unknown teen aged girl (18 or 20 yrs) from inside the launch staff cabin of the passenger launch MV JhamJham at Chandpur launch ghat around 2 pm of Thursday before its departure for Dhaka Sadarghat from Chandpur launch ghat in the afternoon.
On hearing about the news,ASP Sadar Circle (Headquarter)SnigdhaSarker along with Sadar Model Thana OC Md Nasimuddin rushed to the spot and found the body lying dead inside the cabin.
The launch staff- Sujan Mollah, Md Russel and Masum said, they used this room. Sujan Mollah said, a young man along with a young girl hired the cabin on 2nd floor, with Tk 650/ at Sadarghat at 11.30 pm on Wednesday and the launch reached Chandpur ghat in the morning on Thursday.
