A teenage girl with physical disability drowned in a pond at Rail Colony in Shayestaganj upazila of Habiganj district on Thursday morning.
The deceased was identified as Rupa Akter,12, daughter of Gazi Abdul Karim, a resident of the same area.
Family members said Rupa had remained missing since morning.
Later, after a frantic search, locals found her body floating in the pond and took it to Habiganj Sadar Adhunik Hospital where on-duty doctors declared her dead.
