Farjana Mariam :
Child care or day care is the care of a child during the day by a person other than
the child’s legal guardians, typically performed by someone outside the child’s immediate family. Day care is typically an ongoing service during specific periods, such as the parents’ time at work.
Now-a-days, the percentages of female job holders are increasing in an increasing rate.
In Bangladesh, culture and according to traditional perspective women are supposed to care their child. Doing job and caring a child in 24 hours is much more pressure work and somehow impossible to doing so. The solution can be child care centre where women can put their child on that centre at the time of working in jobs. But the concerning issue is worrying about the service quality of these centres and some parents can’t even trust them because they cannot get the proper information of their baby. These baby care centres should developed their service by adding this traditional service with technology such as uses of real time CC TV camera which may link with parent’s smart phone or some other digital device. By doing so parent can see their child even they are far from them, sitting in the office chair. It will increase baby care centres service transparency as well as customer satisfaction.
Technology use in Child care Centre will provide the authenticity of service commitment and will beneficial to grow more this service. These organisations of
Bangladesh should pay concern on this issue.
