Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP) operating special drives arrested five students of Infra Polytechnic Institute (IPI) from three different messes for leaking Civil Engineering ( sixth semester) Autocad-2 question paper on early Wednesday .
BMP holding a press briefing at Airport Police Station acknowledged the fact.
Abdur Rahim, principal of IPI, said after leaking of question confirmed, Technical Education Board cancelled the examination of Wednesday in the country.
Anowar Hossain, officer in charge of Airport Police Station said of Barishal Metropolitan Police (BMP), receiving secret information through 999 phone call on Tuesday late night started a operation at Kashipur,Ichakathi and Rajmohol area of the City,
Then they arrested five examinees of sixth semester in Civil Engineering course of Infra Polytechnic Institute (IPI). Checking their mobile phones soft copies of the question were found on early Wednesday. The arrested five were students of IPI named as Zahidul Islam, 19, Abu Nayem 20, Amimul Islam 20, Sabbir Hossain, 20, Tarek Hossain 19.
Habibur Rahman, deputy commissioner of Barishal Metropolitan Police, holding a press briefing in presence of the arrestees at the police station, said police sent that soft copy of question to Dr. Sushil Kumar Paul, the examination controller of Bangladesh Technical Education Board and he confirmed the question leaking’
