Team need to play practice match before Qatar mission: Topu

Country’s one of the dependable national defenders Topu Barman thinks that the team need to play one or two practice matches to find out any lacking ahead of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
“Actually I think it was necessary for us to play a practice match …. any how we’ll not to able to reach in Qatar taking time in hand ……. indeed it should need one or two practice matches for the team …. we are having through training here, so if there are one or two friendly matches can be organised here, then the coach will able to find out lacking of the team before the World Cup qualifiers,” said Topu during the team’s practice session at the Bangabandhu National Stadium on Saturday.
The dependable defender Topu, who possessed a fit body, said Afghanistan and India are up in world ranking, but he thinks that the individual playing qualification is similar compared to Bangladesh.
They have three matches to play in the World Cup qualifiers and he hoped to bring a positive result against India and Afghanistan.
Replying to a query Topu said as they have been playing for the national team for a long time so a good combination has built up among the teammates and they have a good overall combination. The coach is emphasizing on combination and scoring in the training session to increase the scoring capacity in the match.
The Jamal Bhuyan and Co. have been making their training under a scorching heat but Tupu is found quite positive during the training session in the field. He said, “It’s a very positive side for the team because I think the weather will be almost the same as compared to Doha ….. the training which we are doing here under the scorching heat, we’ll get this reap in the match because we’ll play in the same weather in Qatar …… overall it’ll be better for the team as well as for the body.”
Topu, who came back in the squad after recovering from injury, also expressed his high hope about his team’s dominating performance in the qualifying matches and that his team would be able to emerge as strong opponents in the World Cup qualifying stage.
Bangladesh team is expected to leave for Qatar on May 30 to play their remaining matches of the FIFA World Cup Qualifiers.
According to the fixtures, Bangladesh will play against Afghanistan, India and Oman on June 3, 7 and 15 respectively.
