The teachers of the Chittagong University of Engineering & Technology (CUET)will observe strike from Monday next like as other public universities of the country.
President of CUET teachers association Prof. Dr.Abdur Rahim and the general secretary Prof. Dr.Md. Shafiul Hoque disclosed the programs of strike in a press conference held at 11 am on Tuesday.
The teachers in the press meet told that the academic activities of the university will remain closed but officials functions will remain as usual.
The teachers in the press meet said this action programs for surviving their professional rights not any political motives.
The press meet was told that if their demands of revising the gazette for 8th national pay scale and fulfillment of commitment of govt in respect of teachers salary and status is fulfilled before Monday, their action programs of strike will be enforced from Monday.
