Teachers strike has been continuing for the second consecutive days in 22 public colleges in greater Chittagong protesting the salary and pay discrimination of the teachers of the govt colleges.
No exams were held yesterday as per earlier schedule due to strike. On same demand, the officials of Chittagong Education Board, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Directorate also observed the work stoppage . Bangladesh BCS General Education Samity enforced this work absentation programme across the country protesting the canceling of selection grade and time scale in recently declared 8th national pay scale.
