Police have arrested another accused over the alleged gang-rape of a primary schoolteacher in the classroom in Betagi upazila.
The arrested is Suman Kazi, 30, son of Abdul Kuddus of Kadamtala village of the upazila.
Police said, they arrested Sumon from Jolisha Village in the upazila on Sunday night.
On August 17, criminals allegedly gang-raped
the assistant teacher in the classroom keeping her husband locked inside another classroom.
The victim filed a case with Betagi Police Station on that night accusing six people – Sumon Biswas, 35, son of Md Hiron Biswas; Md Rasel, 28, son of Abdul Barek Mia; Sumon Kazi; Md Rabiul, 18, son of Abdur Rahman; and Md Jewel, 30, son of Md Abdur Rahman of Kadamtala village.
With this, six people have so far been arrested over the incident.
