Travelling to India: Tax waiver for wounded FFs, disabled, children cancelled

The National Board of Revenue has cancelled the tax waivers for cancer patients, disabled, wounded freedom fighters and children for travelling to India. All kinds of travelers have to pay Tk 500 per head before going to India now.
The directive of NBR came in action on Monday, Uttam Kumar Samaddar, superintendent, Benapole customs confirmed the information to journalists.
Travelers of some specific categories such as freedom fighters who were wounded during the liberation war, disabled people, and cancer affected persons, children up to five years had been enjoying travel tax waivers for a long till Monday. ‘In a directive, the NBR has cancelled such facilities for people of the said categories’, he added.
