Tax fair begins at NBR offices across the country

Income tax fair began at all tax office of the National Board of Revenue (NBR) across the country from Sunday till November last to facilitate taxpayers to file tax return.
The income taxpayers who could not file return during the recently concluded the income tax fair will be able to submit return at this fair which will continue up to November 30, said NBR’s senior information officer Syed A Munem .
Talking to the New Nation, he said the taxpayers will be able to collect ‘Tax Card’ from November 20 to 28 by showing return submission slip during this fair.
‘Tax Card’ will be available from all tax zones of the NBR from next year, he added. The deadline for submission of tax return is November 30.
Taxpayers are given all facilities including e-TIN, correction of e-TIN information at the fair. There is also facility to file return online or e-filing.
NBR expects that number of tax return will increase significantly this year as submission of return by private service-holders has been made mandatory by the government. At present, there are 31 lakh e-TIN holders in the country.
