A preparatory meeting was held on the celebration of national days in Tarash and Sirajganj. The preparatory meeting was held at the Upazila Parishad Hall on Thursday to mark National Children’s Day on March 17, Genocide Day on March 25, Independence Day on March 26 and Golden Jubilee on March 26 and 27.
The meeting was chaired by Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mejbaul Karim and was attended by Upazila Parishad Chairman Principal Moniruzzaman Moni, former Upazila Parishad Chairman, former Member of Parliament and current Upazila Awami League President-elect Gazi Md Amzad Hossain Milon.
Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman Anwar Hossain Khan, Lecturer Morzina Islam, Thana OC Investigation Habibullah, Upazila Engineer Abu Sayed, Education Officer Akhtaruzzaman, Agriculture Extension Officer Nagib Mahfuz, Fisheries Officer Mashgul Azad, Rural Electricity General Manager Ashraf Uddin Khan, Social Service Officer AKM Moniruzzaman and other officials of the department, Freedom fighters Gazi Arshedul Islam, Gazi Abdur Rahman, Gazi Saidur Rahman, Upazila Muktijoddha Sontan Command President Khalilur Rahman, Tarash Fazil Madrasa Supar Maulana Anisur Rahman, Upazila Press Club Co-President Mohsin Ali, General Secretary Shahinur Rahman, General Secretary of Reporters Unity Abdul Barik Khandaker.
According to the decision of the discussion meeting, on the occasion of National Children’s Day on March 17, Genocide Day on March 25, Independence Day on March 26 and Golden Jubilee on the 27th and 28th of March, the birth anniversary of Bangabandhu will be observed as per the schedule.
