TIN holders up, but return submission poor

Al Amin : The tax return submission remained poor despite the soaring Taxpayers Identification Numbers (TINs) holders during the last eight years.The number of TINs rose to around 64 lakh from 13 lakh in the last eight years (2013 to 2021) but less than half of them submitted returns during the period under reviewed.The return submission is not increasing accordingly due to the lack of strong monitoring and structural weaknesses of the revenue board, experts said.Besides, most of the TIN...
