I have shared some matters with them. Now I want to share those matters to all. I told them that I thought It would not be fair to me to be included in Bangladesh World Cup squad.”
The ICC World Cup T20 will start within two months. Before World Cup, the New Zealand series is the last T20I series for Bangladesh team. Dependable Tamim is one of the pillar of Bangladesh’s batting XI. But Tamim withdrew himself from the squad.
Tamim wrote, ” The most important thing for me that I did not play in the Twenty20 format for some time. The second thing is my injury. But I don’t think my injury is not the main factor. I hope I shall recover from injury before the World Cup. But it seems to me that I did not play as an opener in 15 to 16 T20I matches for Bangladesh. So, those openers who performed in the opening position will not be fair for them if I grab their place.”
Tamim believes He will be included in Bangladesh squad for the ICC World CupT20. The Bangladesh squad will be announced in this week. But Tamim withdrew himself before the announcement.
The 32-year opener wrote, ” I may be included in the ICC World Cup squad. But I think It will not be fair for me. So, I acknowledged it to BCB President and the selectors. Probably I shall not perform in the World Cup. I can only say I wish good luck for Bangladesh squad.”
The dashing opener wrote, ” I shall not retire now. Probably I cannot perform in the ICC World Cup T20. I think my decision is appropriate. The youngsters should get chance as openers. They have played for 15 to 16 matches. Their preparation will be up to the mark. I think they will give better service to Bangladesh team.”
He also wrote, ” I am determined to my decision. I don’t want to say nothing new. I request the journalists to honour my decision. There is nothing controversial. Those who know me and close to me, recognize that I do my all things from my own mind.”
