Tamim Iqbal off to Nepal

Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal left Dhaka for Nepal on Friday to take part in the Everest Premier League (EPL). Tamim will play for Bhairahaya Gladiators in the EPL. The left-arm opener could not take part in the recently concluded Zimbabwe Twenty20 International (T20I) series, five-match New Zealand T20I series and five-match Australia T20I series due to injury. Tamim ruled himself out of the upcoming ICC World T20. Tamim will play EPL as a test case pf his injury.
Apart from Tamim, Shahid Afridi of Pakistan, Sikandar Raza from Zimbabwe, Mohammad Shehzad from Pakistan, Upul Tharanga from Sri Lanka will take part for Bhairahaya Gladiators in EPL. The EPL will start from today. But the first match of Bhairahaya Gladiators will be held on Sunday.
After the ICC World T20, Pakistan Cricket team will arrive in the city in November to play a full-fledged series against Bangladesh. Tamim Iqbal has a target to return to international cricket by playing the forthcoming Pakistan series. So, he will play EPL as part of his rehabilitation.
