Dashing opener Tamim Iqbal can play against Afghanistan. Tamim Iqbal got injury in his finger of his left hand during fielding practice at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium on August 27. After X-Ray report, it was found that his finger was fractured.
The Tigers resumed their practice session on Sunday. Tamim Iqbal took part in the practice session with his teammates. But he did not worked hard like his other fellows.
Tamim Iqbal is confident that he can play against Afghanistan.
All-rounder Nasir Hossain and newcomer Mehedi Hasan Miraj bowled against the left-hand opener during the net session.
Before taking part in the practice session, Tamim Iqbal scanned his finger. Tamim Iqbal and Physician of BCB Dr Debashish Chowdhury are waiting for the scanning report.
Chowdhury said, ” Tamim’s condition is now better than his previous condition. Everything depends on him. After a couple of days, if Tamim feels well, then he can play against Afghanistan.”
Bangladesh will take on visiting Afghanistan on September 25 in the 1st ODI of their three-match series at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
The remaining two ODIs of the day-night series billed for September 28 and October 1.
The English teams are scheduled to arrive here on September 30 and will stay until November 2 to play the Test and ODI series in Dhaka and Chittagong.
